On a silver base, it creates a brilliant, radiant blue effect, while darker substrates lead to deeper, richer blue nuances.
The color effect develops from light, transparent blue tones to intense candy effects.
Createx Candy2O creates intense, deeply impactful candy colors with high transparency – ideal for airbrush and custom painting projects where color depth and translucency are crucial.
As a pure dye, Candy2O contains no binders of its own. The actual color layer is only created in combination with a suitable clear coat – this allows the effect to be precisely controlled.
How Candy2O Works
The paint is applied as a transparent mid-coat over a reflective base (e.g., silver or metallic). The final color intensity is built up in layers and can be precisely controlled.
For optimal results, Candy2O is typically processed with the following components:
- 4050 / 4053 UVLS Gloss / High Gloss Clear: serves as a binder and provides maximum transparency and gloss
- 4030 Balancing Clear: improves adhesion and flexibility, especially on difficult substrates
- 4021 Reducer: optimizes flow and spray pattern for airbrush applications
Application & Setup
Candy2O is built up in several thin layers. The more layers applied, the more intense and darker the shade appears.
A typical setup for deep candy effects:
- Metallic or silver basecoat
- Candy2O mixed with 4050 UVLS Clear
- Optional: Reduction with 4021 for finer gradients
- Finish with 2K clear coat for maximum durability
Important Notes
Since Candy2O is completely transparent, the substrate significantly influences the final result. Different base colors lead to distinctly varying hues.
For consistent results, a controlled layer buildup and a final clear coat for sealing and depth effect are recommended.
