The Minigun for Controlled Area Work

More material flow than a classic airbrush, but significantly more controlled than a spray gun.
That's why the SG-MG1 is the ideal solution for creative work on larger surfaces.

More Area. More Control. More Possibilities.

The SG-MG1 Minigun combines the advantages of an airbrush and a spray gun in one system, and is ideal for wall painting, custom paint, and applications where larger areas need to be precisely processed.

  • More coverage than an airbrush
  • More control than a spray gun
  • Ideal for creative projects

0.8 mm High-Performance Nozzle – More Throughput, More Speed

The SG-MG1 Minigun uses a powerful 0.8mm nozzle, which transports significantly more material than a classic airbrush. This results in fast coverage, stable layers, and a uniform finish – ideal for basecoats, primers, and larger surfaces.

• Consistent paint flow thanks to large nozzle opening

• Faster work due to higher material throughput

• Ideal for basecoats & primers as well as large surfaces

Important: This nozzle size requires more air volume than standard airbrushes. For optimal results, we recommend a compressor with at least 35–40 L/min and ideally an air tank.

Hybrid Trigger Airbrush – the Perfect Middle Ground between Airbrush & Mini Spray Gun

The SG-MG1 combines the precise control of an airbrush with the power of a mini spray gun. The trigger mechanism allows for natural, relaxed work – especially during longer sessions and on larger surfaces.

Compared to classic airbrushes, you move significantly more material without losing control. At the same time, it remains more precise and controllable than a conventional spray gun.

  • Ergonomic trigger for relaxed, controlled work
  • More output than airbrush – less effort than spray gun
  • Ideal for large projects where precision remains crucial

Mini Paint Gun Meets Airbrush – The Perfect Solution for Larger Areas

The SG-MG1 Minigun is a hybrid airbrush specially designed for larger areas. It combines the precision of an airbrush with the material throughput of a mini paint gun – ideal for anyone who wants to work faster without losing control.

Perfectly suited for mural painting, custom paint, model making, and smart repair. While classic airbrushes are intended for details, the Minigun delivers a significantly wider and more even spray pattern for medium to large areas.

Why the SG-MG1 Minigun is so effective

Fan-Spray Technology extra wide, even fan spray for fast and clean surface work
0.8-mm High-Performance Nozzle more paint application and faster work on larger areas
125-ml Gravity Cup long sessions without constant refilling
Trigger Double-Action precise control even during longer work
Round- & Fan-Cap optional precise round spray or wide fan spray
Solvent-Resistant robust design for water-based and solvent-based paints
High Working Speed significantly faster than classic airbrushes due to higher throughput

Perfectly suited for:

  • Mural Painting: even color surfaces with precise control
  • Custom Paint: ideal for helmets, tanks, and creative painting projects
  • Model Making & RC: perfect for bodies, panels, and larger components
  • Basecoats & Primer: fast, even paint application on medium to large areas
  • Smart Repair: controlled work with more surface area than a classic airbrush
  • Props & Stage Design: efficient surface coverage for larger elements

What Makes the Difference

A classic airbrush is ideal for details. A paint gun for large areas. The SG-MG1 Minigun combines both: controlled, even painting on larger areas – without the loss of control of a spray gun.

If you want to work faster without sacrificing precision, the SG-MG1 Minigun is the perfect solution for creative surface work, custom paint, model making, and mural painting.

FAQ
For the SG-MG1, a compressor with at least 35-40 l/min is recommended. Smaller units quickly reach their limits and do not deliver constant pressure.
Yes, especially for users who want to work on larger areas. The trigger allows for intuitive control and makes it easier to achieve uniform surface work. Due to the higher material throughput, the Minigun requires some practice and a good feel for speed. It is less suitable for very fine detail work than a classic airbrush – however, with some practice, very delicate work can be achieved. Its strength lies in uniform & large areas, and significantly faster work with clean results.
The SG-MG1 produces a significantly wider spray pattern and transports more material than a classic airbrush. This makes it ideal for larger areas, basecoats, and even coatings. At the same time, its trigger operation is similar to that of a paint gun. This makes it particularly interesting for users who are more familiar with this handling than with a classic airbrush.
The SG-MG1 Minigun uses a classic screw nozzle system. This ensures the nozzle sits securely and allows for consistent, even paint application – especially with higher material throughput. Compared to plug-in systems, the screw system is slightly more complex to change, but offers greater security and precision during operation.
The SG-MG1 Minigun is suitable for both water-based and solvent-based paints. Thanks to the 0.8 mm nozzle, even thicker materials can be processed smoothly and evenly - ideal for basecoats and larger surfaces.
The SG-MG1 should be cleaned regularly to prevent dried paint. It is important that solvent-based cleaners are only used in the front part of the airbrush. The rear part of the airbrush, up to the needle seal, is delicate. If the entire airbrush is placed in solvent or completely submerged in an ultrasonic bath, this can damage or swell the seals and O-rings in the control valve. For cleaning, it is recommended to clean only the front components such as the nozzle, needle, and air cap with aggressive cleaners, or to suspend the airbrush in an ultrasonic bath so that only the front part is in the cleaning solution.
